mixed experience with potential benefits
The staff offered a thoughtful refund for the nights we couldn't stay. The room size was larger than our initial one, providing a bit more comfort. The city view from the window added a lovely touch to our stay.
The promised coffee machine was not provided during our stay.

Rooftop bar with skyline views, unique room configurations, engaging cultural atmosphere
The noise levels were overwhelming, both from outside and the internal corridors!!! Small rooms left no space for luggage, making it challenging to move around comfortably. The bathroom was ridiculously cramped. a proper makeover would be ideal!!!

I really enjoyed my 3-night stay, especially the awesome rooftop bar and the quirky decor throughout the hotel. You can chill out by the sun terrace or enjoy some downtime in the cozy lounge area. The only downside was the lighting in my room was a bit dim, but it didn't take away from my fun overall! 😊

Ideal place for families seeking comfort
We had a great time at this small but clean boutique hotel. The location was perfect, really central, just 5 min walk to the subway, made getting around easy for my family.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but it felt acceptable for what we got.

Quirky charm with an artistic vibe
I absolutely loved the vibrant atmosphere and uniqueness of the hotel, which feels like a blend of artistically designed spaces and a lively social scene. The location is ideal, close to several subway lines and attractions. However, my room had issues with a clogged shower and some water damage on the carpet, which detracted from the overall experience. Despite these setbacks, I found the staff to be friendly and eager to assist.

The location of the Freehand was a huge plus, just a short walk to popular spots in Manhattan. I loved the stylish decor throughout the hotel, which gave it a unique vibe. The rooftop bar provided stunning views, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The communal areas felt warm and welcoming, with comfortable spots to relax. However, room size was quite a shock. My Premium Queen felt cramped, making it a bit difficult to navigate with luggage. The bathroom sink was too small, leading to a messy splash zone when using it. Additionally, noise from the street seeped in, which disrupted my sleep. Staff friendliness varied, with some being helpful, while others seemed disinterested during check-in. I expected better from a property of this caliber, especially regarding soundproofing and customer service.

It was just a solid selection for a quick break in New York with excellent value for money. The room was a bit cramped, but we enjoyed the cozy vibe and found it easy to sleep despite the noise outside. Bring your own towels if you can. they didn't have enough when we needed them.
